First I like the fact you don't have to use it as a pressure cooker with it having the glass lid as a secondary lid. I got this because I wanted to learn to can this year. I am starting small so this size is perfect. I was taught to use one growing up but mostly only used it for meals. Second, this is a really good-quality pressure cooker. I love the fact it is stainless steel and not some other unhealthy metal. This one is a great value

This thing is huge. I used to have a 6qt cooker and while I haven't actually measured this, it seems maybe a little larger. It's good size and well made.

this is such an amazing pot. I am not sure how I survived without it! it has several different uses and is extremely durable. I would suggest this for both the quality as well as the value.
