I had purchased the previous one they made and it was great so I had to get this one. It is more compact than the earlier version. I first went to places that I knew there were cameras etc and it recognized am of them. I went away for the weekend and you're always concerned about hidden cameras. It found one outside that didn't concern me that much. Scanning the interior of the house there were no cameras. I checked everywhere. We felt very confident that we were not being watched

My new P18 Hidden Devices Detector is the latest 8th Generation Detector.I have an early model that works great but this newer unit seems to be a bit more sensitive and they have added a couple finger tabs to the view finder making it easier to open up.I went through all the paces testing the P18 and have decided that I will gift my previous model and keep this one.As far as testing I tried each feature and everything performed great.I have cameras around my home so I went to a few of them and using the view finder u can see if the cameras are on or not by looking through the lens and mine showed a red dot on the cameras that were on.Also the RF signal was picked up as I approached the cameras.Now if I didn't know where the cameras were you can adjust the sensitivity so that it's easier to pin point the camera.The flashlight feature is nice to help locate devices in low light places.I tried the P18s Magnetic Device detector by simply going to the refrigerator and pretending that the magnets were a hidden magnetic device like the manual indicates such as a hidden GPS device.Again u can adjust the sensitivity to hone in on a hidden device.Finally like I stated earlier I like the tabs on the view finder it makes it so much easier to open.I like that you can turn on Vibration Mode so if your checking lets say under or behind something like a bumper you don't have to get down all the way on the ground to search for a hidden device.Charging port is a USB-CThe P18 is fun to play with and will always be with me when staying in a hotel or any unfamiliar places.

This has been a great little tool to take traveling! It's smaller than expected, about size of my palm length-wise, so it's very easy to carry without adding much to your luggage or being super obvious. I've used it to check hotel rooms and similar for cameras, and it's been very easy to use. It has a learning curve to figure out the lights and beeps, but it comes with very clear instructions. I've found it's very reliable, and I like that I don't have to have an app to use it. It functions right out of the box, and the charge lasts quite a while. I'd definitely buy this again in the future.
