If you are looking for an inexpensive, very small shade for an accent lamp, this will do, as long as you don't expect too much. The clip which holds it on the bulb is poorly designed and manufactured, nevertheless, it works as long as you understand it slips quite a bit on an average sized bulb. The shade itself is not bad and is not too sheer. I paid little and got what I expected - that's not a knock, just reality. Would I buy it again? I'd consider spending a few bucks more to get more if I ever needed another accent lamp - bulb attached shade.

I am really impressed with this set of six chandelier lamp shades. They came in perfect condition and were carefully packaged. Upon opening the box, I immediately was surprised at what a great quality they were considering the price. I purchased a chandelier from Pottery Barn (please see picture) and initially was going to purchase the shades from them as well. After looking at the absorbent prices for lamp shades at PB (as of today, the current price of three of their burlap shades is $44 plus tax and shipping..times two as I need six so around $95+). I decided to try out these on Amazon. These are nice, well made shades that actually look better than the ones sold at PB for over double the price. The color I received was a light to med tan shade burlap..lined white inside. They are perfect for a dining room or kitchen- kind of a casual elegance look. I have mine in the kitchen and couldn't be more pleased. They fit nicely on the chandelier style bulbs as they have a metal wire piece on the inside to hold them in place. I think they look better in person than they look in the Amazon pictures.

Works well for chandelier. Wish the seam wasn't so prominent, had to turn all of them to the inside. Looks good from afar though.

These are really beautiful. I am pleasantly surprised by how nice the quality is for the price. They are large and were very nicely packaged. I was looking at similar shades at PB and BD and they were several times more expensive than these. These would NOT disappoint even the pickiest of people! They were easy to install on the candelabra lights on my chandelier - it gave my chandelier a much more rich and warm look.Only small negative (which is probably to be expected) is how much light it took away - my dining room darker with these shades on. It could use a thinner or more transparent lining to let more light out - but so pretty I'm keeping!

I like the look of it but the clips are too small. I tried three different light bulbs. I emailed for a refund and they said to bend the metal to try to make it work (like I didn't already try that). I guess I will just throw them away. It is a small loss, so not a big deal. Don't buy if you think you may want to return it.
