The bmw M54 didn't come with a chain tensioner for the oil pump resulting in many backed off oil pump nuts or sheared off oil pump shafts due to vibrations from high rpm, this tensioner fits behind the timing cover and works extremely well, pair it with a safety wire nut and you'll be ready to hit the limiter in no time
