Oil sensor did work yes. Much more tight of a fit than the other but still worked. Good buy.

Barely got it on. Holes Didn't line Up well. Slow leak from gasket. and I don't even think it senses when oil gets low. I've been very low many times and no light on dashEdit: it did sense low oil so it does work and during the last oil change i swapped the gasket out for a bmw one and it seems to have stopped the leakEdit2: new gasket did not help. Replaced with bmw brand. This one is trash

Would not go on three studs in oil pan, required drilling out the three holes to a larger size, will have to wait and see if it works.

Bad or malfunctioning part.I purchased this device to address a failed oil level/temp sender on my BMW e39 M5. The sensor failure symptoms were:* Instrument cluster oil temperature gauge specifying 300F (rather than 210F), regardless of warm or cold engine start.* Instrument cluster warning message starting to check the oil level.* SES light with engine error code for failed oil thermal level sensor.Installing the new sensor during an oil change resulted in:* No longer setting the engine error code.* No longer producing instrument cluster oil level warning.I believe the part that was sent is a defective part because:* Instrument cluster oil temperature gauge (and diagnostic menu confirming) the sensor reports 130F temperature, when the engine is warmed up, rather than the expected 210F.

I have a 2005 bmw 325i European model and it fit well so i will recommend it to purchase if your oil light comes on and you have oil in your car
