I got an adapter for the Sony alpha dslr lenses to micro 4/3, I had a bunch of these lenses and thought I wouldn’t be able to use them without an expensive electronic adapter. This adapter is kinda expensive, and I had my doubts, but honestly I’m pretty blown away and the lenses look great! There actually is aperture control and it automatically puts it into manual focus mode, and all these lenses are before focus by wire, so you can manual focus without issues. Overall, big recommend!

After I read the reviews, i decided to give it a chance, maybe it would fit to my needs.But, don't do the same mistake with me and do not buy anything for a M42 to M4/3 as an adaptor. Look for speedboosters!Here's my advice, not just for this product but also for any of the m42 to m4/3 adaptors (if you're on the market to buy one)There are good options from brands such as URTH and some more expensive or cheap brands.But you're using a m4/3 camera. Aware of it! It already has a 2x crop factor. Which may cause you to loose all the potential characteristics of a vintage lens you want to use.Buy a speedbooster, not an adaptor for m42 to m4/3 conversion.For example, I've bought a Helios 58mm just for its swirly bokeh. With an adaptor it was not there at all. Impossible to see any swirls. Doesn't matter which adaptor I use.After that i've bought a speedbooster (0.71x) and it worked a little better. If you can arrange the distance between the subject and the background well you can start to see some swirly bokeh.But even with a speedbooster, you're still loosing the 1/3 of the lens characteristics starting from the edges. And helios lenses have that swirl especially on the edges.But on all scenarios, it is very hard to have all the characteristics of a vintage lens with a m4/3 camera. It feels like Smurfs tale, "if you're gonna be a good kid, you may see the smurfs someday"

Pour: excellente qualité de fabrication, bons verrouillages côté appareil comme côté objectif, aspect soigné.Contre: la bague n'est pas crantée, donc pas très pratique pour la déverrouiller de l'appareil si l'objectif est trop petit (comme un Jupiter-8 de 50mm). Du coup, je l'ai installée sur un objectif plus gros (Jupiter-9, voir photo). Clé de réglage de la bague non fournie (aucune marque ne les fournit, de toutes façons), heureusement que j'avais le bon tournevis (voir photos). On peut s'en servir sans faire de réglage, mais les indications de distance de l'objectif ne seront pas affichées sur le dessus de celui-ci.Bilan: bague d'excellente qualité, très bon maintien côté objectif et côté appareil. Une fois réglée, l'utilisation de l'objectif est très confortable. La bague n'est pas donnée, mais j'ai eu de mauvaises expériences avec des bagues premier prix, donc le tarif est justifié.

Wow! Very impressed by the materials and the fitment on my Olympus E-M5 II. The fit is snug (clicks in) and the form factor is very similar to the PRO lenses in the Olympus M43 line up. Very happy.

I am used to using Metabones Speedbooster adapters but wanted to sample a FD lens on my GH5. Works very good overall, a small wiggle when racking focus but that is to be expected at this price. Overall very good body fit and the lens mount side is great.If you need an inexpensive adapter option, I would highly recommend this one.

I took a chance on this adapter after acquiring an Olympus Pen E-PL5. The adapter fits nicely with no "slop". Infinity focus is achieved with the OM lenses I have tried. Feels like a natural part of the camera. Recommended.
