I didn’t have an output connector or cable to match the output of the adapter. There was nothing to tell me what connector to buy so I could make one. It says there is an on board speaker and microphone in the advertisement. I connected it to a Windows 10 PC and it did show up as a generic USB audio device and the led on it was lit. However, running the audio windows audio tests on it, I couldn’t hear any sound, nor did it seem to be detecting any sounds. I was able to locate some descriptions by searching the brand name that is written on the case, but that also did not tell me what kind of matching cable I needed for speakers. It did say that the output pins could drive a speaker directly. UPDATE: I was able to find on amazon speakers that have the matching connector by searching for the name brand on the case of the adapter. Connecting this, I was able to test the speakers on a Windows 11 PC and test the microphones that are on the board. It works.

I've been working on a bird watching / identification project. This module allows me to capture crisp audio and process it for further analysis via open source identification applications. Essentially, I capture the audio, filter out noise, and then process candidate bird calls to determine what (and, ideally, how many) types of birds are in the area. It's a cool project that I have some success in implementing. One thing that I am not clear on, and this does not affect function in any way, is the relationship between "Jessinie" and Waveshare. I've used the latter quite frequently for various modules. This, however, is advertised as Jessinie but says Waveshare on the listing and on the box. I am not complaining assuming its an authentic Waveshare part but it is a curiosity.
