After breaking a breaker bar, and after tweaking the 1/2" part of my wheel socket in my impact wrench, I opted to go this route. I also had to get a 1/2" to 1" adapter to go with it, but it ultimately did the trick. 2011 Ducati Multistrada 1200, should work for others.
