Noticeably quieter and less clear than the original speaker. This was going in a walkie talkie so I had others around to do a side by side comparo. Has static at times also. Basically junk. Returned.

This speaker cross references to the Icom internal speaker for the IC-W32A handheld internal speaker, which is no longer available or serviced by Icom. Part# 2510000840 / CS028014-12. Repaired my 20+ year old handheld radio.

I used this speakers in a gameboy zero raspberry pi zero project. It works well and there were 4 of them so I could use some on other projects. The sound quality is good and its much louder than the old speaker in my original gameboy

Purchased these to fix my Motorola MBP 33/36? speaker that stopped working- display was fine, but I couldn't hear the baby crying. This was cheaper than paying $30+ for some eBay guy to replace the speaker in the unit. Had to carefully pry the unit open (and broke some tabs in the process), then carefully pry out the old speaker which is glued into place. (NOTE: This 28mm is smaller than the cavity of the original speaker. I would buy the 29mm speaker 8 ohm 0.5w version if I were to do it again.) Cut the black and red wires closest to the bad speaker as you can. Solder the red and black speaker wires to the new speaker. Do a quick test to make sure you can now hear a baby crying from the remote camera as well as test the mic feature. If it all checks out, secure the speaker in the cavity hole with glue/electrostatic tape, then carefully snap the front and back covers back together making sure that you don't pinch any wires and insert the ON/OFF power button before completely snapping things back together.

Good looking speakers. Perfect for when I need just a little more than a piezo.
