Had to update this from my last review. It runs on Batteries and eclectic. USB cord, but did not come with the plug. Thankfully I had one from a old phone that worked. Came with One of the sled Rene's broken, but was a easy fix .Still works good after 2 years.

This Christmas village piece was exactly what I was looking for. I purchased it as a Christmas display piece for children in our local library to enjoy during the holidays. I was specifically looking for something with movement. This piece exceeded my expectations by not only having one element with motion but three, as well as lights and sounds.Unfortunately, the measurements displayed on the product information were accurate, but the actual dimensions were not...The dimensions listed were 11 inches long (L-R) x 7.5 inches deep (Front-Back) x 9.8 inches high (Top-Bottom). I purchased this item because it met the animated and size requirements of the display case where it was to be housed.In actuality, the dimensions are 11" long (left to right) x 9.8 inches deep (front to back) x 7.5 high (top to bottom). As a result, it did not fit in the display case, and because of the discrepancy with the depth and height of the piece, we had to display the item in a different location than planned, which was not ideal but worked nevertheless. Because of the discrepancy, I give this animated Christmas village piece 4 stars (but for everything else, I give it 5 stars!).

I gifted this to my sister for Christmas. She loves all of these village scenes that move around. The only issue she has had is that the ice skaters stopped moving after only a day or two. She has to manually get it moving, then the automatic movement will start back up.

This ice rink is so cute. The skaters are skating. Santa is being pulled by reindeer. The perfect size. Not to big. So glad I bought it.
