I used this to pull the metal spikes part of the post support. They snap off from the post before they can be pulled out. This grabbed it an pushed them right out.

Mine fell apart before ever using it. The spring for the actuation lever came off by just flipping it

A great addition to the workshop. It easily grips onto mild sheet steel and allows me to get it off the truck and onto my trolleys for easy movement around the shop. Seems to be well made and likely to last a long time.

I prefer these lever style dogs to the screw type because it takes the guess work out of tightening the clamp for use. I work at an industrial fabrication shop where we use dog clamps of various styles and sizes every day. I selected this one for my home shop and like the smaller size. Always center the clamp so the load doesn't tip at an angle when you lift the plate. Never walk under or place a body part under a suspended load. Read and understand the instructions and watch some videos before using a plate clamp.

This clamp worked very well for me on 6” x 1/2” angle iron. Once clamped onto the angle it was easy to move with a shackle, strap, and a forklift. The clamp is very easy to operate. It is a must have for metal shops.

I used it to pick up a large 1/2" plate. It worked as advertised. Now I just need to get the next larger size for that 3/4" plate I have to move a round.

Let's first take a moment to appreciate the humor of a product that lifts LESS than a ton sold by a company named "Karryton."OK, with that out of the way, DOES this clamp lift? Maybe not quite a ton, but yes. It's heavy, feels quite sturdy, and operated smoothly. The bonus gloves provided a surprising boost to my ability to grip the heaviest piece of steel I had laying around. And while that piece weighed considerably less than 0.8T, the clamp's unmoving grasp on it gave me confidence that it could securely hang on to much more. While it's never wise to go cheap when investing in tools for overhead lifting, this robust piece of equipment makes for a useful and affordable addition to my shop.
