About this item

  • Boat Throttle Control: Our side-mounted outboard remote control kit is compatible with Evinrude Johnson outboard motors. It's made from aluminum ADC2+ASA and an ABS shell handle that resists cracking. The plastic button ensures firm and reliable operation. The Evinrude Johnson boat throttle control box is more robust and withstands multiple push-pull maneuvers.
  • Trim and Tilt Switch: Enhance your boating experience with the power trim and tilt switch directly on the control lever handle. This design allows for easy adjustment of the stern engine's position, aiding in cargo loading/unloading and preventing prolonged engine immersion. Press "↑" to tilt the engine upward and "↓" to tilt the engine downward.
  • Smooth Operation: Press the neutral release button to shift into gear, Push forward about 32° into forward gear, and push back about 32° into reverse gear. The front-end friction adjustment adjuster provides personalized control over throttle operation, allowing you to manage speed and thrust with precision. Additionally, the boat throttle control has a cold start air-oil ratio adjustment function that ensures reliable operation in extreme temperatures.
  • 16.6 ft Control Cable: Our remote control box has a 1.3 ft/400 mm long harness with an 6-pin plug and 3-pin plug. And a 2.3 ft/700 mm cable with a 3-pin connector for the meter connection, ensuring ample reach for remote power supply setups. Crafted from durable thermoplastic material, these harnesses are built to last. During installation, turn off the ignition, remove the key, and disconnect all cables and power.
  • Emergency Stop Switch Lanyard: Our outboard engine throttle control box includes an emergency stop switch lanyard. This lanyard halts the engine automatically if the driver is unexpectedly displaced, preventing accidents. The lanyard can securely attach to the driver's waistband or wrist for added security.

Our remote control box has a low-temperature start air oil ratio adjustment to start the engine even in cold weather. Turning the throttle friction adjuster on the remote control box counterclockwise loosens the control lever to suit your tightness for a smoother driving experience.

the spot for the cable barrel was not large enough for the barrel to fit in and had to be made bigger , other than that they worked fine

If you hook everything up and put it into forward and it goes backwards, then you shouldn't be working on boats or anything mechanical for that matter. When you hook up the cables, you have the cover off and you can clearly see the mechanism in action. If you don't stop and see what your motor wants it to do for forward gear, then you just don't need to be your own mechanic. You need to hire a professional at that point.

I hooked everything up right and when I started my engine and move the handle forward the controller box made my engine and boat go backwards waste of money
