SS13714 Boat Steering Kit
The boat steering system has an excellent performance to minimize the turning effort you have to put in and can and makes precise steering effortless.
The marine steering flat interface system makes it firmer and better to control. The combination of high-quality cast steel and stainless steel makes this steering kit durable and steady.
The aluminum alloy rotary rudder adopts alloy material, which is strong, wear-resistant, rust-proof, and resistant to deformation. And adjustable nuts are used to secure the rudder and wheels.
This kit offers the quick response of three-turn steering, and easy installation with a no-tools-required cable connection at the helm.
The outboard steering system kit includes a rotary helm, 14 feet steering cable, a 3/4" tapered shaft, a bezel kit, fixing bolts, and a screws kit.

the 20 degree bezel wasn't in the box, nor was it's mounting bezel had to use the 90 degree bezel and customize it to fit, we';; see how it works and update

The brand of the original helm unit and cable is unknown, but the boat is a 1994 Chris Craft 197. This system matched the old one exactly and replacement was easy, once the old one was removed. (Nothing is easily removed from a 28 year old boat.) It is completely hidden, so it doesn't really matter, but the fit and finish are excellent. Check back here in 28 years and I'll let you know if it lasts as well as original.
