Exactly what I needed to rebuild a reel. Price was right but how much do you spend to rebuild a 12yr. which cost $125.00 new.? With bearings, knob, etc. got $32.00 in parts. Only down side with this part was no instructions but trial and error and minimal skill will get you thru it.

Great knob but abit frustrating assembly

I bought this product despite the bad reviews saying how difficult it is to install and that it doesnt have instructions. They were right but this is still a great product.To install I had to drill out the rivet holding my old knob on and enlarge the existing hole with a 5/32 drill bit. Then it took a couple tries to figure out the bearing system by having both screws tight on each end while still allowing the handle to spin freely. It took a total of 20 min and a vice, drill, drill index, 2 small Philip's and a tiny flat head screwdriver.I'm very happy with the final result and the red matches my Black Max reel perfectly, the grip is nice and handle turns very smoothly. Highly recommended for handy people .

Bought this to replace a riveted knob on a reel, and the instalation took less than an hour.bHonestly the thing that took the longest was trying a bunch of combinations of all the spacers. In the end the knob fit perfectly and relatively easily.
