What is a Valve Cover Gasket?
Valve cover gasket is designed to seal the valve cover to the surface of the engine cylinder head, the valve cover gasket prevents motor oil from leaking out of the joint part.
Pay attention when replace gasket:
* Pls use genuine gasket,wipe the two joint surfaces of engine and clean valve cover with a soft brush.
*Clean the valve cover with cleaning agent, clean the contact surface between the valve cover and cylinder head, install the valve cover gasket, apply gasket maker, and screw the screws diagonally from the middle to both sides.
*Don't scar the valve cover surface when carving debris.Tighten the fixing bolts of valve cover evenly,not too tight,which might hurt your cover.

Tried installing this kit, it’s not the right kit for a 2008 Honda civic lx (1.8l) when it comes to the valve cover (no tube seals on this style and gasket is too small). Vtec solenoid gasket fits but I had to rush to a parts store on foot to get the valve cover gasket.
