2013 VW Passat TDI, part fit well, getting to the part in the vehicle fairly easy, disconnecting the hoses exceptionally difficult. The TDI diesel has more stuff in the way than the gas engine and the connectors didn't want separate easily. In the end the heater works now. WOOHOO!

Core is defective. Has a pinhole leak on the lower pipe.

I had nothing but problems installing this , I purchased genuine VW thinking fitment would go easy. Not so. I been working on cars for over 30 years. I don't know if the core I got was manufactured wrong but the top line on the core seemed to be to short. It wouldn't butt up with the other solid line where the clamp goes. Something that should have taken me a few minutes took me hours to get lined up properly. Lots of adjusting. But I did get it in no leaks and work great. It a easy car to get the heater core out of.

Was a direct replacement on my 2013 VW Passat TDI SEL. Fit correctly and my heater is now working blowing hot air as it should. Packaged well protected.

During the winter, I had heat only blowing properly on one side of my 2013 Passat TDI, the drivers side. The other side would blow ambient air temps out of it(freezing passengers into icicles). Replacement wasnt terribly hard but it wasn't enjoyable either. Try replacing this part if you're having issues with getting heat in your car
