It may be perfectly good, but it does not fit my 1998 Saturn SC2 even if the fit check says it fits. Do not trust the fit check

This product does not fit for Saturn SL as stated in the product description. The curves are different than the original fit. Do not buy this product for Saturn SL.

This Walker exhaust pipe #52166 fit my '97 Saturn SL2 almost as good as an O.E. part, at far less cost. I was able to cut off my existing pipe approximately 4-6"(please measure your own for accuracy), before the front catalyst hanger and this new Walker pipe slid right inside for a nice fit; I applied a bit of exhaust sealer before completely sliding the pieces together, and clamped them with a 2 1/4" exhaust clamp. The Walker replacement pipe does stick down below the engine a bit more than the O.E. pipe did. To compensate I installed about 0.5-1.0" stacks of washers under the exhaust clamp that mounts to the bottom of the engine/trans, tweaked the angle of the mounting clamp, and installed longer bolts. I am happy with my purchase, and would recommend this to others.Note: as a former Saturn Dealership Technician I am aware that this pipe fits other years and models of Saturn SL series, just use the "Find parts that fit your vehicle" feature that Amazon provides to be sure.

This piece is a direct-fit factory replacement for the Flex Pipe assembly. This was much cheaper than paying a shop to do it. This piece is intended to be used with the whole Walker assembly front to back, rather than replacing just this piece. If your Flex Pipe is rusted out, you can just replace this piece, but it is much easier to just run a whole exhaust back with Walker products. If you browse the walker website, you can get a diagram with all the part numbers for your application, then browse Amazon for the part numbers.
