If you are changing out your muffler I would definitely recommend buying this piece. Being that it was new like the muffler piece it was easy to weld and easy to install

Fit perfectly on a 2003 Tacoma 3.4 4x4 Ext Cab with 6' box. Replaced worn out muffler with Walker 47742 and ordering this intermediate pipe made installation easy since they fit together. Sensor was a perfect fit as well. To remove old intermediate pipe from catalytic end, just ground off rusted nuts and used center punch to push out old bolts. Also bought the Dorman 03423 Exhaust Manifold Hardware Kit to bolt it back up.

Cut to fit, as long as the flange is the same as what your putting it on. Very happy with the item it fit perfectly.

Is the flange on the Walker 53398 Intermediate Exhaust Pipe suppose to have a groove? I tried to install on Tacoma 2001 3.4L and there is a groove on the old part and flange from catalytic converter but the 53398 that I order does not have one and therefore the Walker 31374 Exhaust Gasket is to deep causing a gap.

Inside of the pipe was dirty with lots of oil and metal shavings. More importantly, did not fit my 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4WD ext cab. This mid-pipe is way too short at 32 inches. Might fit a regular cab, though.
