Bought this and installed it on my Right rear passenger side and works perfectly!!!! Watch a YouTube video and take it step by step and you can’t go wrong. I’ve had this installed for a few months now and very happy without any problems! Just pay attention to the way the rods connect inside your door panel and take pictures before taking it apart as a rule of thumb. I definitely recommend this product!!!

Truck is 20 years old and the right side rear door latch assembly (electronically) finally failed: "right rear door ajar" continuously appeared on the DIC (driver information center ie: dash). I took it into GM for a repair estimate and they quoted $500! So I decided to research the price and difficulty of doing it myself. Ordered this part for about $35 and it took about 1-2 hours (being super cautious) to install. There are multiple videos/instructions online that are very detailed on this procedure, which I definitely watched before the installation. Works perfect now but as far as long lasting, I will have to issue another report in a year or two or three to answer that question! Very happy so far. This $35 assembly I ordered looked identical to the 20 year old factory one I replaced.

Direct replacement, no modifications necessary.I gave 5 stars on the "Easy to Install", but in reality, it took some time and effort to remove the old part and install the new one; but that isn't due to the product itself, just how cars are built.Would recommend.
