Maybe I got a defective one, but the ankle strap is ridiculously long and the foot straps are super short.I also still feel pain as I bring my foot forward in the shoe so doesn't feel super protective.I have a ligament year at the top of the ball of my foot and across the top of the big toe joint. The platform is high heel high so I don't know what I could wear on the other foot so as not to throw my back out.

Quality is great. Hopefully will last longer than others I've tried.

Works as designed, elevates the foot and still easy to walk with the space under the toes. Very stiff and does not flex. The only thing I didn’t like was it was a little uncomfortable to wet round the foot. Maybe not supposed to be very comfortable but probably nothing I’d want to wear for an extended period of time.

I have a stress fracture at the base of my big toe and this boot makes it possible to walk. I have had other ones but the size guides are never correct and I end up with one that is too small. The size guide for this one actually works! I wear a shoe size 8 and ordered a Medium and there's extra room between my big toe and the end of the boot, which, trust me, you want. This one is also almost half the price of the others but just as nice. Definitely recommend this one if you need one of these bad boys.

Shoe is clunky and foot sits crooked in it. It's okay but not great.

I was hoping this would work for my broken fifth toe as my current surgical shoe is a bit worn. In theory, this is a good idea: it only allows you to strike on the heel so that you don’t put pressure on the toes and it actually wraps up quite nicely if you need some compression with a softer mesh-like fabric so it’s not TOO tight. And while the quality seems good, and I can only assume there’s a use for someone, for me it’s not practical. First: the ankle is just two short. It’s shorter than any typical post-op shoe, just barely covering my no-show (below the ankle) socks. This, coupled with only two support straps instead of three, makes it feel slightly less stable, even though I got through the large part of a day with it and it doesn’t fall off or anything, so I’ll give it credit for that. The real issue for me is that it’s just impossible to walk with a giant heel on one foot and then a normal shoe in the other. In fact, it’s MORE dangerous for me, as it encourages me to use my right foot (the injured foot) more, even if mostly in the heel, while placing me off balance on my left foot (which strikes lower in any normal shoe. If I wear a post-op shoe on the job injured foot, it makes it a bit easier because then both feet are raised but…that’s not really practical. The other thing is that the material is quite hard and dense so that when it strikes the ground, not only does it make a loud (clomp) sound on hard surfaces, but the vibration travels to my foot, and I my foot feels fatigued way too quickly. Again…I’m not supposed to be walking much anyway, but compared to my experience with budget ones they give you post-op, this actually appears to be putting more stress on my foot and making me more prone to injury. In fact, I’m a 7.5 men’s size shoe which was at the lower end of the size I got for this (medium), and honestly, if my feet were any larger, this might be too small because it’s supposed to just out a bit so that walls or objects hit the front of the shoe instead of my toes. That’s the case with this shoe, but it might be a little too small for some.Because I think I just got the wrong shoe (as in, I’m not supposed to be wearing a heel only shoe) and it seems actually decently made (with the caveats I’ve mentioned) I’m hesitant to rate it lower than 4 stars. Just make sure that this is the style your doc wants you have for your particular needs. Otherwise, it’s a nice try for an emergency, but not really something I want to try walking with anymore for weeks.Hope this helps!
