Really nice looking and a great replacement for my banged up old Westin side steps. These were easy to install since it was replacement, I just used the old brackets, but I think I could have easily installed them had I not had the old brackets.

They use the same size for extended cab and crew cab. It fit a little long on an extended cab.Instructions are very vague but once you figure out, it is pretty easy to install.Lastly, the nerf bars, out of the box are bowed downward. If you look closely went mounted, they are arcing down in the middle. My 15 years old Dee-Zee bars, although rusted, are still straight.I'm keeping them since I already returned the previous one that was not fitting. Just tired of returning them. Live and learn

This part number is for the extended cab models.. Not super crew cabs. I thought the previous review was really helpful minus that part saying it was a perfect for for his super crew.. This is meant for extended cabs (a little shorter). And I will be buying a set as well as remembering not to put wax on it... Great review.

These steps look awesome on my 2006 F150 supercab. The instructions were not that great, but the install was not that bad once I figured out what I was doing. I did the install by myself, so it can easily be a one person job, just make sure you have a torque wrench and a socket set.The first step has you inserting metal tabs onto the frame of the truck, THIS IS THE WORST STEP! I wish I would of known ahead of time that it's pretty easy after this. You have to be careful not to drop the tabs into the body of the truck, so I would suggest not using a hammer to get the tabs on, and use your fingers instead. I had to loosen the tabs using the back of a hammer and a pair of needle nose pliers. After doing that forever (I worked slow so I would not break the tabs), I was able to finally get them onto the frame. After that, it's a piece of cake.I'm about 210lbs and I was bouncing on the rails with no give. The best part is that my 4 year old can pretty much get in and out of the truck without assistance. They look fantastic and are a perfect fit. I chose the black pair in case they rust. This way I can use some flat black paint for touch ups. The instructions clearly state to regularly apply carnauba wax to them, which I will do. I've heard negative reviews on all kinds of different brands due to rust, but I really wonder if that is due to people not maintaining them correctly. I'll try to give a long term update as time progresses.***8/25/12 update***Moving this down to 4 stars. Do not get any wax on the plastic steps, it turns them white! Nothing was mentioned about this in the instruction manual. Other than the plastic having a bit of a whitish color on the edges, they still look great, no rust.
