The JH Williams ST-816 1/2-Inch shallow 8 point socket has an overall length of 1 1/2-Inches and a 1/2-Inch drive. It has a high polished chrome finish. The super torque lobular openings for greater turning power without deforming the fastener. The 8 point sockets are designed for quick engagement on 4 point fasteners.

Exactly as described, including the machining that prevents rounding the corner of the nut as it's torqued. Williams is owned by Snap-On, but Williams tools may--or may not--be up to "genuine" Snap-On quality. This one works fine, and is far less expensive than the Snappy equivalent.

I use this on a electrical impact a lot and it works perfect. Its one of my smallest but heavy sockets. There is nothing cheap about this socket. I use this 8 point on square 1/2 inch nut. Works how it suppose to.
