I’ve acquired more than my fair share of clamps over the past few years and learned relatively quickly that I couldn’t cheap out on them and also expect them to perform borderline absurd tasks. I’ve got about a dozen Bessey KREs, I Beams and a few pipe clamps. I also have about 15 various Strong hand welding clamps and despite that, I consistently reach for the Wilton LC Lever clamps for almost every task.Besides their rock solid frames and quick to setup nature, I’ve learned to rely on the fact I don’t have to worry about them backing out or loosening due to vibrations and the like.In the above photos are my LC8, two LC12s and LC20. I especially love the LC12 because of the 5.5” throat depth (The LC8 has the smallest throat and LC12 the largest in photo) and find its size the most useful.If you’re looking for quality lever clamps that will perform for just about forever, these are the clamps you want.

There is no comparison between Wilton clamps and any other brand in my opinion. They clamp tighter, last longer and hold up better than any other brand of clamp out there.

It seems nice enough. It seems fairly close in design to the besseys with just a few minor differences. Slight change in the curve of the handle with the Wilton being a smooth curve and a slightly smaller release button then the bessey. The cam plates seem a bit beefier on the bessey. But overall casting is beefier on the Wilton with a thickness at the jaw of roughly .165 whereas the bessey has a thickness of roughly .158.Anywho, overall it’s a nice clamp and seems to work well. And for a 4” clamp I think the rated 350lbs is more than enough.
