The transmitter/receiver works as described. They pair quickly and easily and work once plugged into corresponding HDMI ports. They work for many uses on laptop, tv's, iPads, etc... My only issue with these are that they do not transmit my TV app from an iPad to another TV, only non broadcast type content. I'm assuming this is not the fault of the devices, but a broadcast licensing issue. If it did broadcast Tv app content, these would be perfect.

The idea was to run a slide show during a graduation party. I had plenty of time to set it up, but a month later and it still isn't working like I envisioned. Setting up the receiver was easy enough, once I found a tv where I could access the back side. There was no way to connect the transmitter to my Samsung Galaxy laptop - this computer does not have a port for the receiver. Someday I may get it set up, but with a different computer!Good idea, just doesn't work for me.

These work very well. I especially like that you don’t have to use an app or WiFi router. This allows you to use them to connect a lot more types of devices.

I have been interested in these for a long time, but I held off on getting one because I wasn't sure that I really needed it. But I'm so glad that I finally got one, because it really does work well and is quite useful. I can cast easily to my living room TV while using my work laptop, and I can even cast from my desktop PC to my living room, which is probably at least 40' through several obstacles. Previously I thought that I didn't need it, since I already have smart features in my TV, but it's really much better to be able to cast from a real computer, and to get YouTube without ads, better control over what is on the screen, etc.And it was extremely easy to use—literally just plug-and-play. No apps, no extra setup or configuration.There is a little bit of lag, but I think that is to be expected. I certainly wouldn't try to use this for a fast-paced video game, but it works really well for videos and even spreadsheets, chats, etc. I might try it with other devices in the future, like a digital camera or tablet. It's exciting to think about how easily you can see what you'd like on a big screen, without having to worry about intrusive, buggy apps that are suppose to allow native screen sharing in Windows / Android / iOS.The inclusion of the adapters is also a really nice touch, and I can confirm that at least one of the HDMI adapters works well.If you have a lot of HDMI gadgets and toys, I think this is a great addition to allow easier interaction among them! I do wish I'd gotten one sooner.
