Freedom at last. The first time I used this with my brother's laptop and it was more finicky than I'd like. The transmitter needed the power cord in order to work with his Laptop's built-in hdmi port, and it seemed to display only if we had plugged them in a specific order. The perceived hassle made me hesitant to try this item out again but now I wish I had tried it sooner because for me, at least with my chromebook, it is as plug and play as it sells itself to be. It comes with its own usb c - hdmi adaptor. The receiver always needs a power cord, which is fine because it is advertised as such, but it would be even cooler if it didn't! This product totally cleans up my set up and allows my laptop to be unlimited by a cord that doubles as an eyesore. I never knew what I was missing and I am never going back now.

I didn't want a huge setup box behind my TV. So, I opted for this tx/rx system. And it just works. You plug-in the rx/tx dongles properly and it worked out of the box. There's no loss of sound or picture or quality/speed. This is good quality item. Definitely recommended.

I love the utility of this product. There are tons of use cases for a product like this. It’s perfect for connecting a computer or laptop to your TV or a projector across the room. But it’s not exactly perfect. The first time I used this, it was for connecting a blue ray player to my TV that is mounted on the living room wall. I struggled for quite a while to get the transmitter and receiver to pair with each other. I eventually got it and it seemed to work fine after that. I disconnected it and put it aside for later. Today I used it to connect my MacBook Pro to a different TV mounted on the wall. I expected that the receiver and transmitter would still be paired when I plugged them in. It wasn’t. I was in for another lengthy fight to get it to pair. It finally did and it worked flawlessly after that. When I finished, I disconnected it from my computer and reconnected it just to see if it stayed paired. It did. I don’t know why it comes unpaired when it is stored but it did at least once in my experience. The instructions are there and they make it sound pretty simple and straight forward. One thing it doesn’t tell you is that the receiver and transmitter have to be plugged into their devices before you initiate the pairing process or it won’t work. I assumed that as long as the power was connected, I should be able to pair them. It didn’t work for me. It’s pretty inconvenient to have to have the receiver plugged into the TV mounted on the wall before you can press the pairing button. I managed but it was difficult. The picture quality is maybe not quite the same as a wired connection but it’s acceptable. There is a very slight lag, barely perceptible. It’s not enough to be an annoyance but you can perceive it.

Recieived and tested this item yesterday. It basically works, it took some time for the devise to adjust the chanels, but quality of picture wishes to be much better, especially on big screens like mine- 85" TV. There are some freezes and picture disruptions/lags due to the low frame rate and resolution. The bottom line is think twice before buying. I will not return mine, as I decided to use it occasionally, when there is no other option to stream from my laptop to the TV.

First, the good: I have it configured transmitting HDMI audio and video from my PC to a stereo receiver roughly 15 feet away, which then sends the video signal to the projector. Setup was simple and easy, just plug it in to HDMI and power and it starts working immediately. The transmitted video signal experienced no interruptions and I could detect no issues with the audio quality. I especially like all of the included adapters. Now, the problem: While using this HDMI transmitter, I began to have interference and artifacts on my other HDMI outputs from the same PC. The problem began after plugging in this HDMI transmitter, and it ended after I stopped using this HDMI transmitter. It's hard to conclusively determine which device is at fault for this issue, as I don't have the equipment required to measure the interference coming from the transmitter, as the issue could be with the other HDMI cable, or the video card itself.I am only deducting one star due to my inability to determine the root cause of the issue but the fact the remains that I'm not able to use this device due to the interference it causes with my other HDMI outputs. 4/5

I didnt think something like this would be possible; that the amount of data being transmitted would not work wirelessly. I was wrong. I wanted to play PC games on my big tv, in another room; about 15 feet away and through a wall. I got this set up easily enough; it will require USB power bricks. Everything just worked without any additional software. Duplicated my primary display, went to my big tv, and the image was there. Wow!Time for testing. I ran a long USB cable to wirelessly connect keyboard, mouse, game controller. You have to test the original Doom. Can it run Doom? It can. No frame drops, no input lag, to blurring. Wow! Ok, now lets put it to a real test. Doom 2016. A high motion game with heavy graphics. Not a problem for this wireless HDMI product. The whole time I was sending pictures to my friends and they didnt believe me. I cant believe this works, but it works so well. This prevented me from drilling holes in my wall, and now I will be playing Doom The Dark Ages, on PC, from my couch.
