If you work with professional audio, sometimes there's some amps where it's difficult to reach the speaker outputs. Sometimes the amp actually has to be removed because there's just no room in the back to reach around and plug in a longer cord or change out the cord for whatever reason. These Neutrik to Neutrik short cables remedy that situation. They are NOT for connecting two Netrik cables end to end since these cables have both a male and female end. One of the pictures on the Amazon site makes it look like both ends are female. There are other pictures that show that it's not, but just in case you were wondering. I hooked these up to my amp and tested them out, and the sound qualilty was perfect, just the same as if I had hooked speaker cable directly into the amp itself. Same volume, clarity and sound quality. I have an amp where I am frequently having to change the speaker cable from a 25 footer to a 50 footer to accommodate different set-up situations, and I'm always having to tear out everything to get to the back of the amp, so this is going to save me a bunch of time in that situation. The cables are beefy, well made and ready for the road. I'd buy more from this company if I needed them.

Rugged, heavy duty Speakon patch cables are impressively built for professional use and the internal connections on the male end aren't soldered (they're screwed on) - making them easy to repair if needed. The female end does have soldered connections surrounded by a hardened white sealant.The rubber jacket around the wire with the "WJSTN" printed on it extends right up to the connection inside the Speakon connectors helping reduce strain on the connections themselves.
