Instructions are more like guidelines. You can basically just guess your way through it. Works good. Wood quality isn't great, but it's sturdy enough for the job.

It's more decorative than most, and the finish matches my desk. It wasn't difficult to put together, eventhough the instructions weren't the best. It wouldn't work for a large person, but I'm small, so it will work for me. It'll do for the money. Obviously Asian made.

The chair and ladder are great. Feels sturdy for 185 lb person. The hinge on the seat is a little uncomfortable, but a cushion fixes that. Love it, would totally buy again BUT it has crap instructions as several others have pointed out.My suggestions:1. Install the O latch and hook first. Yes, it's 2 pieces but the holes will tell you which goes where. You do have to pull the latch part up to screw it in. It's waaaaay easier doing it this way than building the chair and then trying to screw these tiny pieces in. But honestly, we leave it unlatched all the time.2. It's basically 2 chair parts assembled separately and then joined in ladder formation with hinges facing outward.3. Mine came with 2 little black rectangular foam stickers that I think are to cushion the parts when opening and closing, but the instructions don't tell you where to put them. I got the small clear circular ones instead that look better and put them at the bottom where the two parts join in chair formation.4. The hinge doesn't feel good when you sit down. Make or get a chair cushion.

The finish is good enough. The assembly instructions are inscrutable. Micro diagrams and Chinese characters. but the puzzle is solvable .

No instructions in English. Two parts lists on the parts list were not shown in the assembly pix. A few screw holes were not deep enough to screw the screws in completely. The wood is so soft it came dented and chipped.

Got this to replace the living room chair I had in the closet. It has been perfect! It’s smaller than a typical chair but just the right height for sitting on and not too uncomfortable either. I’ve used it as a step ladder a couple times, and it’s been easy to use and felt sturdy. I’m very happy with my purchase!
