3D printed simple fix, but they definitely work. They have a little give to them, so they can be hard to insert, but they are very stable once they're in and won't come out without a little work. I definitely overestimated how many connections we could reasonably need with our huge track set. It's hard to imagine more than five or six of these being needed at a time even with multiple large sets. I'd love to see a version that's the "innie" pieces from the same seller, but these are awesome for the track splitter pieces that have two innies feeding one outie. The overabundance means that if any break (which actually seems pretty hard to do, and since this is a Vine review, I've made a rough toddler effort to test them), I have lots of backup.

These little connectors are a total game-changer. They work with all sorts of wooden train tracks, so you don't have to worry about compatibility headaches. They connect easily in all the tracks we have. Building train layouts becomes way less of a chore and way more fun, and kids can actually figure things out for themselves. It's not the end of the world if one or two go missing - you get plenty for the price you pay. They seem sturdy and we have not broken any of them yet.

These work great for all of our wooden tracks (Thomas, Brio etc). Great price for a lot of pieces. Thick, sturdy plastic, I like the bright colors - easy to find in the train box

My son is obsessed with trains. We have a ton of Brio/Ikea/Hape train tracks, including ascending/descending tracks. The problem with some of these tracks is that they don't always stay put and can fall down. With these little "dog bone" pieces, they stay put much better. We also often run out of male to male / female to female connector pieces, which this thing helps solve!

These little plastic “dog bone” connectors have completely transformed how my child plays with their wooden train set. They work perfectly with every track we own—Brio, Melissa & Doug, Target store brand, even some secondhand pieces—and they hold everything together way better than the usual wooden connectors. No more frustration from tracks coming apart mid-play!The bright colors are a bonus—easy to find when they inevitably roll under furniture—and my child even plays with them as standalone “track candy.” The plastic is sturdy with no sharp edges, and the fit is tight without being impossible to insert. I appreciate how many come in the pack (30!), which gives us plenty of extras for big layouts or replacements if some go missing. These should be a must-have for any wooden train set. I wish we’d gotten them sooner!

Works exactly as advertised. Construction is not a high quality material but considering the purpose for use, I’m not at all sure the strong plastic materials are wrong for the application. The package surprised me as I hadn’t noticed how many pieces were included so that was a very pleasant surprise. (30 total) Looking forward to years of toy railroad construction with all the grandkids and visiting friends! Moms of tiny humans- please remember this is not recommended for kids under 3 as small pieces can be a choking hazard . When used as intended with older kids, this product is fine!

My 3 year old is a train guy, half of our living room is constantly covered in wooden train tracks. He is always rerouting/rearranging things and theses came so handy!! It never fails, when we get to the end of the bucket of tracks we have pieces that we can not make work because of the wrong ends. These are super easy to use, you just pop them in the open part of the track piece and you now have a different piece! As always, not all track pieces are cut the same which we noticed right away, the round end of these connectors are adjustable (for lack of better wordage) you can squeeze them and fit them in a tighter piece. This was a little tricky for a little kid to figure out right away, and he still brings me pieces to help with.He also enjoys the different colors, as you can make a green section for the green train and so on. We have had a lot of fun with these in the few days that we have had them. They are so worth it!Also, the bag they came in seems like a pretty decent, durable style zipper bag. This makes keeping the unused ones together a little easier.

These little “dog bone” track connectors? Pure magic for anyone with a floor full of wooden trains and a child who insists the tracks must stretch from couch to refrigerator. At first, I laughed — tiny plastic bones? But once I started snapping them between loose wooden track pieces, I shut up and got impressed. They grip tight — not too tight to force, but tight enough that tracks don’t wiggle apart every time a train goes by at toddler-speed. They work with everything we already had: Brio, Melissa & Doug, random secondhand stuff that looked like it survived a train crash. No problem. These bones bring unity to chaos, like strong leader with clear five-year track plan.Durability’s good. ABS plastic, no sharp edges, no chemical smell — I bit one (for science) and can confirm: sturdy. And the colors? Bright, easy to find under couch or between couch cushions where 40% of our railway ends up. Kid thinks they’re toys by themselves — “Look Papa, this one’s a candy bone!”One caution — if you live in hot climate, maybe don’t leave these in garage for long term. This type of plastic can dry out and crack over time in heat, like tired comrade in desert. But for this price? Not a tragedy. You lose a few, you buy again. Still cheaper than emotional damage from broken train route.Best part? We don’t spend ten minutes every play session re-aligning track pieces that fell apart from light breeze or existential toddler rage. Everything holds steady, so trains actually make it to destination — which is usually a pile of stuffed animals or a banana delivery.Perfect gift add-on for anyone with train sets at home. Honestly? Should be included in every wooden train starter pack. These little connectors are silent heroes of playtime infrastructure.
