It has been about 35 days since I installed it. The prongs have already sheared off and broken. It’s super low quality and was a complete waste of money.

This component broke on our brand new fridge after less than 2 months. It's been about 3 months since I replaced it with this part and so far so good. I felt like this had more weight to it than the one that broke, so I'm hopeful.Update: still going strong over 1 year later.

This coupling is what makes the ice dispense in my Whirlpool fridge. The original one only lasted two years and the three teeth on the end of it just snapped off one day so the ice wouldn't come out. And this part also operates the ice crusher, which is probably why the original failed. It took less than 10 minutes to get the old part out and the new one installed. Just be aware, there's a spring that goes inside the bottom of this coupling so be careful when you take the old one out that it doesn't go flying off somewhere.
