I installed this only to find like others, an acrid smell after a short while. I removed the part, ordered an OEM replacement and got out an ohm meter, this item measured 13 ohms, the OEM part measures 22 ohms. Using Ohms law V=IR, 120 Volts = x13 ohms, 120V/13 = 9.23 amps, then using Watts law P=IV we can calculate this part puts out 1107.6 watts of power, compare to the OEM part, using the same equations it only puts out 654 watts almost half the output of this part.Long story short, the acrid smell is from the plastic connectors starting to burn, I am actually surprised no one has experienced a fire yet. This item is dangerous.
