Description:
This 8-bit noninverting translator uses two separate configurable power-supply rails.
The A port is designed to track VCCA. VCCA accepts any supply voltage from 3.6 V.
The B port is designed to track VCCB. VCCB accepts any supply voltage from 5.5 V.
This allows for low-voltage bidirectional translation between any of the 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5-V voltage nodes. When the output-enable (OE) input is low, all outputs are placed in the high-impedance state.
To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be tied to GND through a pulldown resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sourcing capability of the driver.
Package Includes:
3Pcs TXS0108E High Speed Full Duplex 8 Channel Level Conversion Module
6Pcs 8Pin Header

Use only for close in connectivity, ie. on the same PCB. Doesn't put out enough amps to traverse more that a couple of inches.

These level converters will work to convert between 3.3 and 5v logical levels, but they do so using a pullup resistor, so they are just made for interfacing between logic devices. I had tried using one to convert a 3.3v ESP32 output to drive a 5v optically coupled relay trigger, but it wouldn't work. Not enough power to run the LED in the optocoupler, even though it only needs 1-2ma.
