Way too hard to be useful. I bought it for 2D felting and it’s too hard to poke anything on. It would almost certainly break my needle if I really tried. Probably fine if you’re 3D felting and just need a rigid surface with a little give, but other than that I don’t suggest.

I doubt this is the kind of felting pad needle felters would want to use. For one thing, they are foam, hard foam, with the sheerest possible fabric covering them, which might be synthetic. In any case, they are not "wool pads". They look like miniature insulation panels. Also, they are not an inch deep unless one would be stacked on the other. I will keep them for displays or for framing, which I am okay with. I am not totally pressed for a felting pad and will order something else.
