Great fishing ruler. Folds very nicely especially for a kayak. Very accurate as well, as you can see in the pictures above. Would highly recommend and would buy again if needed.

I used a measuring tape to check for accuracy and it was right on.

This is a well priced measuring board that folds easily and can be stowed under the kayak seat or in a fishing crate. The numbers and hash marks are the same color as the board but take the time and use the black marker to highlight the numbers and at least the inch marks. It’s simple to do and the marker was included with the board. The board actually has a trough which makes it easy to cradle the fish for a measurement and quick photo! Great product.

I purchased this Yack-Gear Fish Stik because of it's convenient folding design in order to store it under my kayak seat without taking up a lot of room, because it floats, and because it claimed to be Kayak Bass Fishing approved for tournaments (more in this later). The design is very nice, and it is sturdy, although I will probably make copies of the sliding locks in a more rigid aluminium because the plastic locks do flex a little in the hinges. When you get it, all the numbers and measuring lines are the same color as the board, and if you want to be able to read them in photos you'll need to color the numbers and lines black with the black marker provided with the Fish Stik. Very time consuming and must be done carefully. My greatest disappointment, however, is with the fact the Yak-Gear Fish Stik ISN'T KBF approved at all. This means it cannot be used for any KBF tournament fishing, and likely not any other tournament fishing events. Furthermore, the manufacturer is, in my opinion, committing fraud by claiming it is KBF approved. They described it as being KBF approved and showed the sticker on it, but when I got it there was no sticker on mine. That's when I checked the KBF website and discovered that the Fish Stik isn't and hasn't been KBF approved. That said, it's still a decent measuring board for non-tournament fishing that will float in the event of an overturn or a drop outside the kayak. However, as a result of it not being approved for tournament fishing at all, it's over priced and should only cost no more than $20.00Very disappointed about being lied to.

This is my second time purchasing fish stick. I have the same but I’m white and it works just as good for over a year.Pros - perfect storage size for kayak or a boat, easy to use, well priced and it floats!Cons - ruler is almost 1/4 inch off, have to always remember to unclip before folding or you’ll break it.Overall - I still prefer this one over aluminium or other plastic versions, for my kayak or a boat. Only reason for removing one star is that ruler is off (measured with three different rulers).

Light, durable, floats, folds up and stows away very easy in my yak.convex shape helps to hold catch in in place. Better than what I expected and works as advertised. Goes out to 36" can be locked in the open position and has screw or pin mounting points designed in.

I bought this as a bday gift for my boyfriend. He loves to fish and I figured this would be nice. I had no idea that it would be as great as it is. He absolutely loves it! The sole fact that it's fold-able and can float makes it worth the money. The width is perfect too because it makes it a whole lot easier to measure the fish. I know it's a bit expensive, but it's worth the investment. It's great if you're fishing from the beach, kayak, boat, pond, etc. I got him the orange one and the numbers are easy to read, so there's no need to color them with the provided marker. It's probably a different story for the other colors though. It's been about 4 months and it's still durable; no issues.
