These bags are supposed to have gusseted bottoms. The images in the description clearly show it sitting flat on its own. Yet other photos of theirs show flatter bottoms. They have mixed up pics from different products so you don't know what you are getting. These bags are not gusseted. You have to do some fancy folding to get the bottoms to puff out but they still won't stand. Still, you can do your best to fold and finagle them so they go into a hygiene box. They seem to hold less than anticipated because of the shape. The paper itself is good quality and it has a liner that helps protect against leakage. These are not food safe bags so don't get tempted to fill them with cookies.3 1/2 stars.

I find these are a good product for what they are for and for other things that go in the trash if damp. These bags are larger than I anticipated. I love the waxed or plastic coated inside,making these bags resistant to breaking down and/or releasing odors and stains. One could use these to line a container for veggie scraps during food prep. The thickness is also a plus, very hefty as can be realized when package arrives. These aren't "lunch" sacks, although could be used for such. They are thick and don't fall apart.
