This is a great violin cradle. There is no way I could make this by myself at a price less than what I paid for it preconstructed. Well designed and well constructed. I highly recommend this product. It perfectly fits my needs for violin repair/restoration.

It seems to be a nice cradle. Looks as if it will hold violin plates well. I haven’t actually used it yet, but believe it will do the job after I add some non-slip material on the back side. Happy overall.

Not the quality I came to expect from this brand. Gave this a reluctant try.It’s clearly wrapped in China packaging and is clearly made freehand eye ball and quickly.Looks like burch plywood and clamps are maple.The screws and washers are low grade.I received one with lots of burs and sloppy fitting. Had to modify the clamps teeth so that they can handle thicker plates. After this, I had to deepen the cavity to allow for higher arched violins. Probably not worth the money when considering the same time needed to just do this myself. You don’t need a fancy cavity like this, just a open space for the many variations of archings to fit.If you have woodworking skills, this will not be your best option. Otherwise, it’s OK for a quick and dirty solution. Also, note that this is not a gentle jig. It will leave marks at the clamp points. So, don’t clamp finished violins unless you know what you are doing and can polish out the damage.Hope this helps someone!
