*Please note: The 1996-1997 Mazda Miata models have an extra o2 sensor in the midpipe section. This exhaust does NOT include the bung for installation of the o2 sensor. It will physically bolt up, but will require minor modifications for the addition of the bung to accommodate the o2 sensor. The bung can be purchased from your local parts supplier or mechanic for a very minimal cost. Your mechanic will simply drill a hole and weld on the bung for installation of the o2 sensor. For additional information please consult your local muffler shop or mechanic prior to purchasing this catback*
This Yonaka Motorsports exhaust system is made of fully polished stainless steel, with 2.5-inch OD mandrel bended piping, and a 3.5-inch tip. Expect a quiet, clean, deep hum, without that irritating mid range raspy sound.
Direct bolt-on fit to OEM. Installation hardware is included.

Fantastic sound. Nice deep notes without the rasp. I added to an x-force header and high flow cat. Primarily wanted a kit that was not significantly louder than stock. This delivers a level that is loud enough to enjoy while not alerting the cops several blocks away.It has a hanger right after the cat that does not match anything factory for the car. I just cut it off so it wouldn't rattle on something or snag something under the rig.Installed on 97 m-edition Miata 5 speed 1.8l

Awesome fit on the stock cat and didn’t need to cut the bumper at all! The hangers recommended are pretty tight so, I’d order 1-2 extra just in case you rip one. Sounds great as well, not too loud

Love the ease of install, replaced the rotting factory exhaust. Installation was easy, and bolted right up to the catalytic converter. Hooked into the stock rubber mounts as well.This exhaust is much much louder than stock, even given the stock exhaust was rusting and creating new holes. However, now I don't need to worry about the damage to the plastic bumper, nor the fumes coming into the cabin. I do have aftermarket headers, and a hi-flow cat, which would contribute to the louder exhaust, so your volume may vary.All in all, received a neat license plate frame, cap, and shirt featuring the brand. Niceties to have included with a package, but not how I base my reviews. I think this deserves a full 4/5 stars, great exhaust. Only suggestion I would have would be to make the bolts connecting the muffler to the mid-pipe be a centimeter or two longer so the flange nuts can grab onto more bolt thread. They sit secure now, and I'm not too concerned about them being damaged, just that it would ease installation.

Although the price has risen from a lot of the reviews online I still feel that it is entirely worth the money. This exhaust system perfectly bolted up to my ‘94 Miata and it only took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. It sounds very nice as well. It’s louder than stock but not obnoxiously so. It brings out the low tones and has a nice rasp when you lay into it.

Fitment on the exhaust was 10/10. It's oem fit on my na. I can't say the same for the nb or the models after 93. With that said, the exhaust sounds really good once the ECU retunes itself. After installing you won't be able to tell the difference (sounds like oem) but after a day or two of driving it it sounds pretty good. This is with a cat on and stock headers. I took the cat off and the exhaust still sounds good but after warming up. On cold start or just slight revs after turning it on, it has this raspy Honda rattlecan ish sound. But again, goes away after it's warmed up and shifting at the proper rpms.

Welds look top notch.Stainless looks and feels goodFitment spot on.Sounds great.Only thing is get your own quality hardware. The bolts that come with it are garbage. Mine stripped out and i had to grind them out to remove them and i didnt even hulk them on. But everything else perfect.

Direct bolt on - with a tad bit of more work than expected but that’s on my end. Terrible. Would it really be that hard to install an o2 bung? This exhaust looks good, but that's all. It came with extra hangers that I didn't need and ended up cutting off the keep the from vibrating. The baffles in the muffler also came apart after about 4 months. It makes this horrible metallic rattle. I contacted yonaka directly and they wouldn't help me, said I needed to contact the seller. The seller was just as useless and told me I was passed the 30 return policy.

This fits on my 1994 1.8L Miata. Pretty straightforward install. Remove chassis brace (if applicable). Remove old exhaust - 2 nuts at cat, and 5 rubber hangers (spray hangers with silicone spray or dishsoap to make removal easier). Reverse for install.Pros:Good tone on the highway, isn't too annoyingDeep sounding idleSounds great when acceleratingCons:May be a little annoying to other people, but who cares!

Bolted right up on my '90 Miata. Lined up perfectly to all the OEM hanger positions. Sounds really great. Deep tone and it does not sound like a fartcan when you get on it. Honestly, this is a great exhaust for the price. A HUGE plus (in my book) is that you get a lot of free stuff with the exhaust too. I got a T shirt, hat, lanyard, two large stickers, and a license plate frame in the box....AWESOME! If something drastically changes with the exhaust, such as it falls apart internally, I will be sure to update this review. Overall, it sounds and looks great!

Nice looking and a good fit. Unfortunately the muffler core fell apart after a while and started making a horrible sound. Neither the muffler, more the resonator contain any packing. Just a hollow canister with a perforated tube running through it. I ended up cutting the Yonaka muffler out and welding in a MagnaFlow muffler. I also replaced the cheap resonator with a higher quality glass pack. Much happier now. Would not buy again though.
