Install the engine barring tool as follows:
- Remove the two bolts holding the inspection cover to the flywheel housing.
- Remove the pin from the engine barring tool.
- Install the tool in the flywheel housing and secure with two bolts of sufficient length. (Note: The inspection cover bolts are not long enough to install the engine barring tool. Longer ones will be needed.)
- As needed, insert the pin to lock the tool and block movement of the flywheel ring gear.
Remove the engine barring tool as follows:
- Remove the two bolts and the barring tool from the flywheel housing. It is not necessary to remove the pin.
- Install the inspection cover on the flywheel housing with the two bolts. Tighten the bolts 25 N·m (18 lb·ft).
The engine barring tool must be removed from the timing case before starting the engine. Failure to do so could damage the flywheel ring gear.

Very cheap quality craftsmanship. Tool came with broken welds. Had to repair it, wouldn't buy it again.

Works good. Great value. They are known for the pins coming loose (the other ones we have as shop tools). May have to tack weld the pins after some use. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.
