First time out with this reel today. It handled a few 8-12lb catfish very well. Seems to be heavy duty enough for anything I am going to hook.

This is a good budget option for someone that just wants to get out and catch some fish occasionally. The reel is smooth for the price. It does have some wobble but that is to be expected in a reel at this price. It does provide good value for the money.

cheap but strong, caught a 5foot barracuda with this reel and about 800 yards of 40lb braid. can handle saltwater if you wash it. would buy again.

Pretty decent reel, caught a few crappies with it so far and seems to be holding up well. Might want to be careful with it as the parts don't seem to be of the highest quality, but i don't expect it to explode any time soon. My only complaint is that the stock fishing line it comes with its great but with my experience with other Zebco reels the stock fishing line is never good quality, so if you buy this reel you may also want to invest in some new good quality fishing line to respool it.

The bail arm was cracked. I used it first time and found the crack too late to return. It broke completely. I glued it and it lasted a few days and failed once again. Really disappointing.

My only gripe is that Zebco doesn't make all their reels to fit all their rods. I had to modify this reel to fit my existing Zebco rod which is stupid. One star lost because of that.
