I have a 2.5 header going into a 2 in exhaust... This was to be used as a stop-gap until I receive the rest of the exhaust as I just needed to continue driving my truck. this still left a little gap where noise is heard as it is a tad smaller than the 2.5 pipe.

I have never used band clamps but after my second trip to the muffler shop and hundreds of dollars later I thought it was time. I used these on 2.5 Vibrant resonators and they went on great. I can't see, feel, or hear any leaks. So far so good! I got them over night after I ordered the wrong size he first time.

The bolts and the bar that sinches the band closed doesn't completely close. The bar doesn't sit inside the slot it rests on the putter rim. It's a fine product I just got a messy one order another set and worked fine

These are really high quality and work perfectly for clamping weld-on components to standard exhaust pipe. Very strong connection. One side fits the diameter of the pipe, while the other side is slightly larger to fit the outside diameter of the component you're slipping over the pipe.Stainless steel too. Not sure about the bolt material. Looked standard to me, not stainless.

2.5" lap version.Purchased a Thrush Welded muffler. https://amzn.com/B0013UEYNKCut the 2.5" pipe & slid the clamps & muffler on.Tightened these up & it's not going anywhere.No welding & took about 5 minutes.Stainless so they look nice and shouldn't rust, too.Pro tip: put them together before your get under your vehicle, slide them onto the pipe, install your muffler/pipe, slide these on. You may need to remove one nut to make them large enough to slide over the muffler.Much easier than trying to put them together while holding up the exhaust, pinching your fingers, having that rock dig into your back & fight off the happy dogs all at the same time.
