This is the first time I've tried to use a training snorkel for swimming laps and one that attaches to the front. I like that it has the valve that allows you to clear the air without having to blow too hard. Remember to get a snorkel mask!! Trying to swim without one is likely to get you water up your nose!

My daughter moved up to competitive swim and this style snorkel was required for practice. It works. This style isn't my favorite and I feel like no matter what you do, you end up with water in your snorkel but it is semi comfortable and the band has held up over time. She practices 4-5x per week on average, year round. I don't think they use the snorkel every day but so far no issues. I figure if it lasts a couple seasons, we'll be good.

I have trouble with my neck due to arthritis. I can swim my 50 laps without coming up for air. Just what I needed so I can continue to enjoy swimming without the pain.

I have not had the opportunity yet to test drive this snorkel in the pool, but I swear by this design of the snorkel for lap swimming, which I have been doing since I was 62 - so 18 years now.When I first started doing laps it was in the University of Utah's fifty-meter pool used by the swim team as well as the public. I had snorkeled for years in Jamaica, Greece, Mexico and Florida but had never tried lap swimming, so my first time I was wearing my face mask with the side snorkel and large flippers. I think all I needed was a rubber ducky to be judged a compete idiot.I heard the swim coach telling his new recruits to use a particular brand of snorkel with the same basic design as this Zionor, to learn how to properly swim. So, I promptly got on Amazon when I got home and ordered one, then another when that wore out. The headpiece was uncomfortable and left indentions on my forehead for most of the day from the fit. I had been a lawyer for years so when I was asked about the indentations, I replied that when I retired from practicing law the devil made me give back my horns.After retiring I was swimming one and a half miles 3 times a week at a 25 yard pool at our retirement home and one of the guys said for comfort, I should get a snorkel like his. I did and it was very comfortable, but after the second one dropped the screw holding the nosepiece I decided to change again and ordered the Zionor. Pickleball has reduced my swims to twice a week, but I still enjoy it.I love the comfort of the headpiece, but when I first tried it on it fell apart and I couldn't figure out how to get the headpiece back on the snorkel or how to adjust the location of the fit. I looked on the web site and didn't find instructions. Eventually I figured out that the headpiece has to be turned sideways to get it to snap onto the snorkel. If this slips off very easily it could present frustration issues. I still haven't figured out how to adjust the position of the connection point of the headpiece on the snorkel, but right now I like where it is.These two issues reduce what would be a solid five star to 4 stars.

Tested it. I compared with my other snorkel. In my experience it seemed to take on more water.

Well made. Used this snorkel for several free style laps and found it to be very well made and adaptable. The curvature of the snorkel prevented the entry of water in freestyle swim. The headband holder is not fasten with screws and is easily positioned for a proper fit. Great product!
