Was a perfect replacement piece for my woofer. Saved me money from having to buy a whole new woofer. This part was just what I needed and the process is easier than you'd think. The process is tedious though. After removing the woofer from its housing, the toughest part is pulling the old surround off the cone. Being that it was over 25 yrs old, the old surround was very brittle and fell apart as I was touching it. But pieces of it remained on the cone and the framing. That required lots of scrapping to get the residue off. I used a utility knife to gently scrap the cone at an angle to rid of the residue while being careful to not damage the cone. The blade had to be changed out probably 3 times as the blade was getting gunked up with stickiness. I used a harder tool to remove the residue on the metal framing. I think a flat head screw driver to start and then a blade to clean it off. Once done, I ran a cloth with alcohol along the edges of the cone and framing to do my final cleanup. Then I used Weld Bond glue on the backside of the surround as well as onto the cone and framing. Placed the surround onto the cone and pressed down on the edges. Wherever there was glue oozing out, I just wiped down. Then I used clamps to hold down the pieces together for about 4 to 6 hrs. I basically did other errands and came back to it later that evening. Reinstalled the woofer into the casing and started using it. It's been 2 mths since I did the repair and it's still holding up perfectly.
