My grandchildren have a music room, and I got this for my two-year-old granddaughter so she can have an instrument too. The tones are nice. She enjoys playing with it.

I love to have a fun little toy box for my nieces and nephews to play around with when the family comes over to visit. I’ve been getting more into percussion recently so I wanted to find toys that would help them develop their musical abilities a bit. Right out of the box this thing felt leaps and bounds beyond the quality I would have expected for a child’s xylophone. It’s also incredibly loud and well tuned. For the price range I’d say the quality certainly matches the expectation. The metal keys are thick and strong, everything is held firmly in place and you could tune it easily using any standard sized screwdriver. If you bought this for children, you’ll be passing it on to their children one day. It’s very sturdy, the parts are well made, but you’ll likely find you want to tune it down. I’m not kidding, the higher notes are SO LOUD. Overall extremely satisfied with this xylophone, I may get more use out of it than the kids will.

My toddler LOVES this xylophone!!! He is using it everyday and having so much fun with it. Even with not knowing how to play it "properly", it's not annoying to listen to because this thing is so finely tuned. The sound really is incredible and I did not expect the level of quality on this to be so high. This has been so fun, the whole family takes their turn with it multiple times a day and it's been really sweet and fun.

This is a delightful little glockenspiel (like a xylophone, but with metal keys). It is accurately tuned and the notes are engraved on the keys, which is definitely better than stickers or printing. The wooden frame has a delightful little design. It appears to be stickers, but I didn't want to pick at it too much. There is a lot of information in the little included booklet. I wish they had made the booklet a bit larger for comfort. It's a little intimidating because of the amount of information packed into such a tiny book. There are pages of basic music theory, the history of the instrument, and a few simple songs. All the information was accurate and there were no mispellings. Because of the wealth of information in the booklet and the quality of the instrument, this is a wonderful beginner instrument.

I have a 6 year old and a 17 month old, and both of them love this. They each take a mallet and whack away. It can get pretty loud if it's hit hard enough, so be prepared to regret buying this (it's so worth it though, the price we pay to make kids happy). It even comes with a little booklet explaining basics of music that the kids can either look at by themselves or someone can read it to them. I wasn't expecting that and it made the whole thing so much better. Overall, it seems to be great quality and made by people that care about music. It's a great intro instrument/toy for everybody, not just kids. Anybody that can move enough to hit the keys with a mallet can benefit from this.
