These nut rivets work well. These do require a special tool to grip and keep them in place while you crush them but you can get away with using a larger nut and grooving it. The coating on them seems pretty durable, which im happy about to avoid rust. As for the threads they work well with the 1/4 - 20. Overall no complaints.

This are good fasteners for multiple types of materials: metal, wood, leather, etc. Just punch the holes in your desired material and apply force with the appropriate tool (I use a press). Mainly I work with leather and wood, and these work well for when I want to join something a little bit thicker (or with multiple pieces and layers), esp. with leather. With wood, you can use it to join two pieces for movement.These are 1/4" rivets, so you need enough material to fill in the gap.I'm happy with this set.

I needed a way to add seat stays on a motorcycle seat pan. These worked perfectly and were easy to install. I drilled a hole just large enough for the rivet to fit into and screwed in the bolt. The four I used all worked perfectly and held the seat stays in place. Overall great product.

I bought these to replace one that came in a kit, used on my truck tailgate.I’ve gone through three of them in 3 weeks. I’m not sure if they aren’t grabbing correctly. They are in a blind hole with 1/8”-3/16” thick material. These were supposed to fix my problem but they haven’t done that and they’ve waisted my time taking three out and putting 3 in.

Reviewing the Awclub Pre-Bulbed Shank, 25Pcs M6 Multi-Grip Rivet NutTest rivet pulled up nicely.These seem pretty standard.The description doesn't include the grip length range, but I'm guessing it's about 0.5mm to 6 or 7mm.A few general notes:These pre-bulbed nuts / plus nuts / cross nuts have much better pull out resistance than regular rivnuts in very thin or soft materials.Bur regular rivnuts have better spinout resistance, especially in thicker/harder materials.Many (most?) of the inexpensive rivnut setters out there don't have mandrels long enough to handle plus nuts. Know your tools before getting these. And plan on going through a couple of test samples before doing actual installs in a new or different material.
