I would give zero stars if I could. Was super excited to get these. We have a huge fly problem in the chicken coop. First you have to cut open the bag ever so carefully. Then you have to get the little plastic hooks to hook into the slot they're supposed to be in. This takes a lot of time as they don't work properly. Two out of two were defective. Then you have to fill it with water. As I was walking outside with my fly trap full of water, the little plastic hooks broke and the entire bag dropped, splattering water and stinky fly attractant everywhere! Through all my kitchen, all over me, into my shoes and out the door! I had to change clothes and shower immediately. Not to mention the cleanup! The second trap did the exact same thing. Both bags busted, just when you think the little hooks are secure.. they aren't!!

The absolute best to keep the flies away. I’ve been using these for over 20 years. Have them down wind because they end up smelling like a dead body.

GARBAGE DO NOT BUY!!!3 days it’s been hung and not one fly. Typically once water is added to these bags you can smell what attracts the flys. These have no smell. It’s hung in a barn. I’m watching flies live their best life instead of going their next best life.

I thought great, this product has larger capacity for flies and buying 8 units at once was a good savings, but in the end it is a waste of money. I got 8 traps on August 8th and immediately put two up to test them out….. I was replacing Rescue brand disposable fly traps that fill up very quickly…. So I wanted a larger capacity…. Sucker me!Both of the new traps have not had any capture of insects whatsoever as of today, twelve days after hanging. I decided after day three to hold off on putting up the other six traps due to the poor performance of the first two traps. In contrast, the Rescue traps would have flies within three to four hours….. plus the Rescue traps had a vile odor to attract them….. these new traps do not smell at all….. I suspect the lures are just not potent…. The lure arrives stuck in the top of the trap so you have to wiggle it free so it drops down into the trap and then add water to the fill line. The traps come with wires to insert and suspend. I have black garden s hooks that I use instead so it makes it easier to hang and move the traps with one end through the plastic top of the trap and the other end of the s able to go over a branch. Well today after checking both traps with no results still, I opted to move them to slightly different locations although where they were the prior Rescue traps were highly successful, see attached photos of the Rescue traps in action.Lifting the s hook off the branch is easy for moving the trap, but the second trap as I lifted it off the branch exploded from the weight of the water in the trap, such that the plastic top came off and the trap fell down and sprayed solution everywhere…. As I said earlier, these traps have no smell to them, so I was thankful for that so I wouldn’t have to deal with a stench on my hands, but otherwise there was a totally wasted trap on the ground that could not be repaired. So between flimsy construction and ineffective lures this are not worth the money….. so besides two wasted traps now I have six brand new traps as well that will just be a waste of my time to set up and monitor as well as the dollars spent.I am one very unhappy purchaser of these traps….. the Rescue brand are worth every penny and even putting up with the horrible smell when you see how many flies and beetles it attracts!!!!!!!Sure would like to know if the company would supply effective replacement lures for the traps, and I could not find on the trap a date of manufacture to determine if these were just very old, stale traps….. regardless, they just don’t work!
