I got these to steep LARGE amounts of tea and they do do that. I easily fit 50 grams of loose tea in one of these (it did plump up a lot inside so prolly not a great way to do that because after steeped it felt pretty packed in there).The down side is they do not fit in a wide mouth (American) mason jar. I wanted to use my half gallon wide mouth mason jars and it was to big to fit. I ended up using a glass pitcher instead.To prevent thermal shock and shattering of glass if making large quantities of hot tea I recommend using a metal measuring cup. I found a few on here that are 4 quarts.

I make lots of tea at one time so these work well for volume. Good quality, good value.

Out several infusers I own, this one is my FAVORITE! It doesn't open while steeping, ever. The size is perfect for making a pitcher of 8 cups of tea at a time.

This pack of tea infusers is very nice, with their large capacity and very fine holes. It's also made of stainless steel, so it's quite easy to clean as long as nothing gets stuck in the mesh. As the mesh is so fine, it gives a pretty lightweight feel to them, but they are sturdy and do feel like they will last so long as they are taken care of. The chain on the top of the lids is a nice addition, making it easy to put in and take out the infusers, especially if it's a hot liquid.

Great product for steeping tea but a little on the pricier side. The holes are very fine both on the side and bottom and it comes with a little chain to pull it out. The set of 2 looks absolutely beautiful with the side panels etched as if they are leaves. They work well with large tea leaves. I have not tried it with coffee (cold brew) it potentially may dissipate very fine grinds into the main pot. Would make for a great gift for any tea lover. Square shape, made for bigger tea pots.

I brew my cold brew coffee in these with a glass pitcher. I love it, no grounds leftover. Easy to clean after.

And it doesn't have to be normal tea, it could be herbal tea.These are a decent size that allows you to have a good amount of material to use to make your tea.Very easy to clean, and good quality metal is used, despite it being a little thin.Only downside is the threading on the top part, to close it, can be a bit tricky to get at first. Once it has been worked a few times, it threads on more easily.In terms of it being a nice gift, these can be a very nice gift to someone who enjoys tea. The packaging is pretty basic, and not showy, but the items held inside are very nice.I use this all the time, as I drink a lot of tea, and I make a gallon of tea at a time for iced tea purposes. Definitely a good purchase.

Love this set of two XL size tea infusers❣️ These are the perfect size for me to use in brewing my weekly sweet tea for making kombucha😋These are superior to other infusers I’ve used because of the high quality construction and the amount of fine screen infusing sides. The secure screw-on lids are a must for keeping the tea out of my brew. Their generous capacity easily accommodates your brewing ingredients, and allows enough space for tea leaves to expand properly for the highest quality extraction. There is so much to like about this product - everything except that mine arrived without the hook and chain for either one (I got the 2-pack of the extra large) - so my plan to send them as gifts this year is out.I took a chain from another strainer to try them out and these were the pros:* Amazingly fine mesh* Well made screw on components for lid so easy to secure and clean* Fits in my big mug with a little room to spare* Easy to clean* Made a great mug of coffee.But I just can't give them the 5 stars I otherwise would without the hook and chain. And for it to be missing on both in a 2-pack - that's really crappy quality control.I really thought they would make great gifts but I'm so glad I ordered a set for me first.

This thing is enormous for a tea infuser and I love it!! You get two in the package, and as you can see, it has a picture of a leaf etched into the arrangement of tiny holes. It is fine enough to use a CTC type tea in it without having a cup with mud at the bottom, but well flowing enough to use the even biggest cut of leaf. I gave my husband one for his shrimp boil stuff like cloves, coriander seed etc. He will use it like a tea ball for herbs and we won’t have the mess of getting all the crap out of the sink when you dump the shrimp water. I wanted this for use in a jumbo Tervis mug I use. It’s too big for my normal size infuser, the mouth is much too wide. This sits right into the opening, far enough that the tea leaves will get enough water exposure. No worries about size.
