This tool can be used to lift material as well as clamp.For lifting, it has a plastic attachment that allows it to lift from ~13 to ~22" when it is fully extended and from ~10" to ~18". Sadly, the plastic attachment doesn't feel like it is up to 800lbs(loses 1 star because of this) See pictures for exact measurement.If the plastic attachment is removed, it can go from 0" to 10" (no picture)The grip/mechanism for moving it appears to be well made. The free float tab feels nice.This kit has various attachments to cover the metal parts to protect your item. It also provides tabs to enable this to be used as a clamp.

Decent enough tools for lifting or holding in place items whilst working. Level set and measurement arms are very useful during my D.I.Y when height is important. On initial opening of the box there was a slight smell of fuel (petrol ish) but this soon passed once removed from the box. The arms are easy to use and move up easily by squeezing the handle and then get lowered via the clasp under the arm (silver one).They are lightweight (compared to others of this type) which is really useful when being used a lot.Price wise is reasonable for this level of quality (time of review £90)
