This is one of those things that you might well never need, but if you do need one it is basically impossible to get by without it.Just keep it in your tool box in case.Good quality construction and materials.

I wasn't keen on the very lightweight form stem plug that came on my newly purchased bike. It also creaked under pressure, which didn't seem right. This one, on the other hand, fits well, holds securely and feels a lot more solid than the original one. Yes, it's a little heavier, but it's negligible in the grand scheme of things.The design works well, with plates that are retained in the middle, but move out when tightened. 3 plates feels better than my old single piece one.This is slightly shorter than my original, but still fits sufficiently in to go to the headset bolt area. It grips the carbon form well.Definitely recommended and good value for the quality. It does up securely without too much force and holds the carbon fork tube tightly.
