  • Skid shoes improve the handling and maneuvering of snow blowers. Designed to protect driveways, walkways, garages and porches from scratches. Will not wear down like fixed steel or plastic skids, Makes handling and maneuvering easier.
  • These advanced, high-performing rolling skid shoes allow snow blowers to roll over rather than scrape surfaces such as pavement and concrete. Made of durable, nylon material, these skid shoes resist wear and wont rust, Works in temperatures down to 30 deg below zero.

It comes with 4 thick stiffness washers, Ensure that they can be used smoothly. Tighten the nut before use so that the washers are in a fixed position, the warping of the washers will lose the ability to hold the pads in place. Before securing the Skids in place, make sure the bottom surface is parallel to the ground so the Skid wheels are the only point firmly on the ground. Check the Skids and adjust as needed after each use IF you happened to bump/run over cracked/uneven sections of sidewalk as that may bump the Skid out of adjustment. As you use your snow blower, make sure to lift the Skids off the ground (press down on the your snowblower handles) before making any turns, otherwise, by sliding sideways on those Skid wheel will likely cause flat spots and lead the wheels to become inoperable.

Updated experienceFirst experience - Worked good for maybe 20 minutes then wheels blew apart and pieces disappeared.Great idea, reduced effort to move/push snowblower (It is a big Toro) in the garage.Hoped for the best but was suspicious that plastic wheels would hold up under the weight AND because of the amount of "play" of the wheels on the small shaft. Without hard, durable wheels on a shaft without play AND without support of bearings they are going to destruct.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After the initial use and failure. I found the wheels while shoveling after another snowfall. They did not destruct.Even though I fastened the bolt/axle with a rachet to assure they were secure, They un-bolted themselves because I have to do a lot of backing up with the snowblower. I can only assume the weight on the shaft while in reverse was enough to completely un-bolt the shafts.I'm going to clean the shafts thoroughly, add Loctite and bolt them as tight as possible. Will update.

Worked fine the first snowblow. Second go round, a small pebble got stuck behind the wheel, which in turn apparently never turned after that. Almost worn down to nuttin.

First fail was probably less common but 1 of the stainless steel nuts gallery on the stainless bolt and as a result stripped out the square hole in my snow bower...Once I cut it off with a hacksaw and put the factory fasteners on I started snow blowing. Two minutes later I realized the wheels snapped right off....Avoid this product like the plague.!
