We eat a lot of melons in our house and they are no fun to cut, slice or scoop. This set is great! Each tool makes serving and eating melons easier. The edges are sharp (but not deadly sharp thank goodness) and the best part is that they store so easily as they all fit together into one piece! Overall, this is a great set for serving and eating melons.

I picked up this fruit cutter set hoping it would make prepping fruit for snacks and salads a little easier, and I have to say, it definitely delivers on some levels. The scoop and slicers are made from a sturdy stainless steel, which feels pretty solid in the hand. The cute fruit-shaped cutters are a fun touch, and they work pretty well for creating melon balls or scooping out kiwi. I especially love how compact everything is when stacked together—makes storage a breeze and keeps things organized in my drawer.However, it’s not perfect. The plastic handles are a little flimsy and don't feel as durable as I’d like, especially when using them on firmer fruits. Sometimes I feel like I have to apply a bit more pressure than I’d prefer, which makes me worried about it breaking eventually. Also, cleaning can be a bit of a hassle with the small crevices where the tools stack together.

I love fruit and veggies, and I love a lot of fruit and veggies that's mildly inconvenient to actually prepare. This little tool is easy to store because it all folds into each other, easy to clean, and makes a lot of stuff- like eating kiwis, or de-seeding cucumbers- fast and easy in a way they've never been for me. Sure, it's not the most important thing in the world to own or be able to use.... but it's hard to argue with the quality of life improvement that it offers for such a small price! Highly recommended.

There are indeed 3 individual tools in this set. When not in use, they can be fitted and stacked together to save space or keep set pieces easier to find. Do know, though, that there is a certain way the stack fits together, and that the stack holds together only by that correct fit position and it's tension.All 3 tools are made of plastics, with 2 of the tools having metal scoops. The plastic seems sturdy enough for this type of task. At least it is when used normally and for it's intended purpose. The same seems true of the metal scoops, too, although the metal in the scoops is thinner than the plastic parts.Each tool has it's own scoop shape. The smallest tool has a scoop on both ends. The first being a traditional baller scoop, and the second looking more like a serrated or toothed jaw. The next tool is bigger overall, with a metal scoop on only one end. This scoop is quite large, and is shaped more like a circle or ring. It kind of looks like a cookie cutter attached to a handle.The third tool is roughly as big as the second tool mentioned here. It is entirely plastic, no metal that I see. The scoop has the same circular ring cookie cutter appearance as the second tool mentioned here, with the exception of a circular row of long thin teeth. They still don't go more than half the ring's length, resulting in a fancy grooved appearance of the melon or food item.I did test each of these out just the other day. Due to melons currently being out of season in my region, any that are found at the store right now are quite expensive and usually over-ripe. Therefore, I have opted to use avacados instead, since thier room temperature hardness versus softness of ripened avacados is roughly similar to a ripe melon of a variety commonly found in stores here.I was very satisfied with the ease of use of all 3 tools, and thier performance of this type of task. Although my set scoops were not specifically sharpened to be extremely sharp, like a chef knife would be, they still had no issues slicing thier scoop shapes through the avacados. This makes sense, as ripe melons and avacados have similar consistency semi-soft edible parts.I am going to minus 1 star, though, for the slightly confusing stacking fit. 4 out of 5 stars.

I love fruit and I especially love to create themed fruit pieces. They are so much fun and especially a great way to spend time with your children teaching them how to create designs out of what you would normally dispose of. If I’m going to a baby shower, or a baby’s 1st birthday, I might make a baby carrier with a baby inside. For instance:1- To start, I take a smaller watermelon, and with the aide of the serrated carving knife, I will cut out the shape of a baby basket. Making sure that I have an handle cut into the watermelon. Actually very easy.2- I will use the ball scooper to empty out the watermelon. Saving these pieces to fill in the back of the baby basket.3- After most of the watermelon is removed, I will use the cutting peel to remove the extra watermelon. I will dispose of this, or eat it while making this project. Then I will use a small honeydew melon, cut into the shape of a baby’s head. Then use grapes for eyes, and then use a pacifier for the mouth (after using a small knife to make a hole for the pacifier).4- After making the honeydew melon fully look like a baby’s head, I will fill in the rest of the empty space with the melon balls. This will complete the baby carrier, unless you want to add more designs to the carrier.There are so many simple things to make with the use of these fruit cutter shapes set. Very simple, creative, and a lot of fun. It can take a dull breakfast into a show stopper with the use if these tools. They are easy to use, they don’t waste any of the fruit, and it’s easy to make pretty much any shape or design. Besides all of this, the price is awesome and all of the tools will fit within each other so that I’m not using all of my drawer space.
