When looking on Amazon these were the perfect shape for the pool railing and looked fairly heavy duty. When they came they were fairly thin metal. The real problem was the fact that as we put them around the cover there is a small piece of metal under the clip that ripped the pool cover. I had to throw away my pool cover! I would NOT recommend this for a pool cover or anything that can rip!

These worked for the most part. It got really windy and the ended up popping off because the cover was blown up by the wind. Recommend using as many as possible. (our pool is a 16') and I used all 30.

I bought these as an extra backup for the leaf net cover, just to be safe in the Oklahoma winds. They are easy to use and do far looks like they are holding.
